One of the key factors to the success of TRANSMART is focusing on basic raw materials research and development. Our ability to tailor the composition and specific heat treatments according to our know-how enables us to design alloys with unique properties for specific customer needs.
Transmart is one of the few companies worldwide that have mastered the rapid solidification process where alloys are being produced as a thin strip to its final thickness of typically 16 to 30 μm.
We tightly control all aspects of our processes. We do our own slitting. we are controlling our products from beginning to end with quality in mind.
The alloy ribbons of large coils are cut to the required sizes using specially developed precision coil slitting machines.
The small cores are wound into toroidal with fully automatic winding machines, while the big cores are wound by semi-automatic winding machines. There are 70 fully automatic winding stations and 30 semi-automatic winding machines at Transmart, with a capacity of winding 100K units per day.
The heat treatment or annealing process represents the cornerstone of the know-how acquired by Transmart. It is the key process that defines the properties of the final core. Some cores need magnetic field heat treatment in order to achieve the values designed. The annealing temperature is 500- 600 °C and the cycle time is longer than 10 hours. Throughout the process, fully automated oven controllers provide real-time monitoring of temperature, atmosphere, and cycle time.
One of the main products at Transmart is tape wound cut cores including C-cores, E-cores, gap cores, split cores, and customized cut cores. Both our plants have 60 high-precision cutting machines, with a capacity of 500,000 pieces per month, being one of the largest cut core manufacturers in China.
Following the annealing process, the cores are being encapsulated or coated to provide optimum protection against mechanic stress. Custom designed fully encapsulation lines shorten the manufacturing time. Cores can be encapsulated in the plastic case, metal case, and insulation materials.
